Ian o’Brien - Understanding is Everything - Spiraling Prism

some of the things that you leave in the freezer will eventually dry out and you will need to toss them. that can be a metaphor for something. but it doesn’t have to be. he has had the trouble of paralleling and drawing upon metaphors at the wrong time or with the wrong examples combined with the wrong words and the wrong environment all while desperately trying to make it all make sense to the right person. it is totally possible that he may just need to move his bed to a new part of the room, giving way to another option for the “right side of the bed” kind of day to come about. but instead he chooses to foolishly juggle all of the wrong words that pour out of his mouth and become the mortar for the bricks that stack up between he and he, or she or they. he forgets that sometimes nothing said is better, that thinking can be better, that listening can even be better and that sometimes you don’t have to get out of bed to find out which side is that right. staying in bed can result in a productive day as well.
