As a way to stick to what we can offer the students, each year my co-teacher, Joseph Wilcox, and I try to provide the them with access to other professionals working within the photographic communities we have direct contact with. We pool their interests and do our best to have them get to know these individuals and set up something that will further nurture their curiosities. One such visit took us to Studio 24, run by our friends and colleagues Brian Guido and Julia Stotz(who now live in Los Angeles). They talked with the students about their space, their experiences in the photo world and shared their work as well. After the talk the students were given the opportunity to use Brian and Julia's professional studio set-up to make self portraits.
